Join us in Northern Virginia this Fall 2019 for BYC’s first ever 26+2 Hot Yoga Teacher Training with world renowned Hot Yoga instructor Jimmy Barkan and become a 200 hour certified Yoga Instructor, recognized by Yoga Alliance.

We have teamed up with Jimmy Barkan and his assistant, Jessica Gardner, to bring this Hot Yoga Teacher Training to Northern Virginia.  This teacher training will be a transformational experience in your own yoga practice, and will provide you with the necessary tools to confidently and compassionately lead others in the practice of yoga.

Teaching yoga is something we cannot take for granted.  There are many teacher trainings out there today run by instructors with very limited knowledge. This is what sets Jimmy’s training apart from the rest. Jimmy has been practicing yoga for almost 40 years, has been certifying hot yoga teachers for over 30 years, since 1986, and has owned and operated the #1 Hot Yoga studio in South Florida for over 35 years.  Prior to starting his own teacher training based on his own style of Hot Yoga called the Barkan Method in 2002, Jimmy was the only teacher allowed to certify Bikram Yoga teachers besides Bikram Choudhury. Since 2002, Jimmy has successfully led over 30 Level 1 and over 25 Level 2/3 teacher trainings with over 1500 graduates teaching in Hot Yoga studios across the world. Jimmy’s tremendous experience is what sets his training apart from other Hot Yoga trainings currently out there.

This is also not your average cookie-cutter teacher training where you will be just one teacher trainee amongst the sea of many, and where trainees do not receive individualized personal attention or feedback. Through his Level 1, 200 hour training, Jimmy will help you explore and develop your natural talents and skills, so you can become a yoga teacher who possesses all of the tools necessary to lead and teach others in the practice of yoga. During his trainings, Jimmy takes a very interactive and individualized approach, connecting one-on-one with each trainee, so that they learn how to effectively teach yoga. When you graduate, you will have learned all of the skills necessary to walk out and teach your first yoga class. In addition, you will become part of a supportive and uplifting global Hot Yoga teaching network with well qualified and experienced instructors who are willing and able to help you continue to grow as a teacher well after your training experience is over.

Upon graduation from this training, you will be recognized by the Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour certified yoga teacher, which will open many doors to opportunities to start a career in yoga should you wish to do so. In addition, this will be a transformational chapter in your own personal yoga journey.  Please join us this Fall, and continue your own path to self-discovery and self-realization, while also learning the way to effectively and compassionately teach others to do the same.
